Community Ambassador

Lauren Travis was raised in Matteson, Illinois. She comes to Stein Learning Gardens with an open heart, an understanding that we each have unique lessons to teach, and a willingness to always be learning from and listening to community.

Lauren pulls from 20 years of experience as a customer care professional in several sectors from restaurant, retail, hospitality, tech startups and fitness. She believes that human connection is the important foundation of healthy society and has worked to bring people together wherever she goes. She values the mission of Stein Learning Gardens to empower the community through gardening education and to feed our neighbors with affordable, fresh, locally grown produce. Lauren strives to be a bright spot in the spaces where she serves and to bring a holistic approach to wellness that platforms each of us with dignity we deserve.
