Marlon English is a resident of Auburn Gresham, 31 years old has been a servant of the people for over 10 years. Growing up on the southside he has lost friends to mass incarceration, police brutality, gun violence and he himself is a survivor of gun violence. Marlon is what some might call a man of many hats. His passions are art, community, radical political theory, music, fashion, food, serving the people, and the liberation of black people. As the Production Manager of Stein Learning Garden of Saint Sabina Marlon oversees and ensures the success of our crops. Our Garden functions as an outdoor class that works directly with the children of Saint Sabina Academy, the Ark of Saint Sabina, the Elders village of Saint Sabina, and also as youth employment during the summer. In addition to that, we now have a weekly farm stand on Wednesdays, providing the community with fresh, organic, and locally sourced produce. Everything that we’re able to do could not be done without the support and funding of the Stein family and the vision of the late great Barbara Stein.
