Steve brings a wealth of experience and passion for community empowerment through urban agriculture. A proud Marine Corps veteran, Steve’s journey from service to civilian life led him to find purpose in gardening and farming, guided by his commitment to helping others. As Co-Founder of Archer Urban Farms Initiative LLC and Vice President of the Cook Dupage Beekeepers Association, Steve has been recognized as the 2024 Veteran Farmer Coalition Farmer of the Year. A Chicago Peace Fellow and dedicated advocate for sustainable practices, Steve’s leadership and dedication will greatly enrich our mission to cultivate growth and resilience in our community.
